Electrician in Liberty Park

Electrical help for Liberty Park homes and businesses.

Liberty Park is a master-planned community of almost 4,000 acres inside Vestavia Hills, between Sicard Hollow Road and the Cahaba River, with lakes, trails, a swim center, tennis courts and schools of its own. Handy Dudes Electrical, licensed, insured and based in Pelham, serves Liberty Park homeowners with the work newer homes tend to need.

Think EV chargers, generators, lighting plans, ceiling fans in big rooms and panel work when a household adds load. Request service through the form on this page or call (205) 341-9500 Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and tell us what you are planning so we can come prepared.

Local conditions

Where a 1990s start meets a brand-new town center

The first family moved into Liberty Park in the early-to-mid 1990s, and the community has grown in phases ever since: neighborhoods with open floor plans and soaring ceilings, newer sections like The Overlook on Reflection Lake, and now The Bray, a town center approved in 2022 with more than 600 additional single-family homes plus apartments and townhomes. Vestavia Hills annexed the area in the 1990s, though sources differ on the exact year. Vestavia Hills Elementary and Liberty Park Middle School sit inside the community.

That range of ages is the point. The earliest Liberty Park homes are now around thirty years old, with fixtures and fans ready for updates, while newer homes are the ones most likely to add EV charging or a generator after move-in. Big open rooms and tall ceilings also raise practical questions about fan placement and lighting that are worth planning before anything is cut open.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have another question?
Can you install ceiling fans in rooms with very high ceilings?

Yes. The ceiling height decides how long the fan’s downrod needs to be and how the wiring is run, so we plan around it. We also handle remote setup. Tell us the room and ceiling height when you request service so we can bring the right parts.

Can you plan outdoor lighting for a lot near one of the lakes?

Outdoor lighting is part of our lighting installation work, covering paths, entries, patios and the back of the house. We start by walking the property with you to see what you want lit, then plan the circuits and fixtures from there.

Should I add a generator and an EV charger at the same time?

Doing both in one visit can make sense because both depend on your panel. We look at the panel once, confirm there is capacity and plan the circuits together. If the panel is the limit, we will say so and explain the options.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Handy Dudes Electrical holds Alabama Electrical Contractor License #04824 and is insured, and our electrical work is done to code for your safety.
