Yes. Tell us the fixture and where it goes. Heavy chandeliers need an electrical box and support rated for the load, so we check that and make any changes needed before we hang it.
How is replacing a fixture different from installing new lighting?
Replacement uses the wiring and switch you already have. New lighting installation adds fixtures, circuits or switches where there were none. See lighting installation.
Can you replace an exterior light fixture?
Yes. We replace porch, entry and garage lights with outdoor-rated fixtures and make sure the connections are sealed against the weather.
Will you check the wiring when you replace a fixture?
Yes. We look at the box and the connections once the old fixture is down. Old or damaged wiring is much easier to fix at that moment.
Can I add a dimmer when I replace a fixture?
